The Gombe State Governor and PDP Presidential aspirant, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has said he would step down his Presidential ambition if the party picks a candidate better than him.
Our Ogun state correspondent,Murtals Adeyemo reports that Governor Dankwambo emphasized that, his ambition is not a do or die, but for the greatness of Nigeria.
Dankwambo stated this in Abeokuta,the Ogun state capital while meeting with members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the State.
The PDP presidential hopeful maintained that, his steadfastness and achievements as a two term governor of Gombe state would spur him to success at the parties primaries, pledging to provide a good leadership if elected president comes 2019.
Dankwambo also said he would declare war on poverty and injustice in Nigeria.
Dankwambo who had earlier visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, condemned the poor state of the federal roads network, describing it as “unpalatable”.
