Senate Moves To Invite INEC Chairman, For Further Clarifications On The Proposed 2019 Election Budget.The National Assembly joint committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resolved to invite the chairman of the Commission, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu to give further clarification on 2019 election budget.This resolution was reached by both Houses of the national assembly to invite the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission to know whether to grant INEC’s request or that of President Muhammadu Buhari.President Buhari had in his letter to the Senate, requested that N189.2 billion be released to INEC, he had asked that N143.5 billion be released now and N45.6 billion be released in 2019.But the commission in it’s presentations on wednesday demanded for the entire sum.
