Rohr plans to convince Victor Moses to reconsider international retirement
Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr who says he will hold talks with Victor
Moses to prevail on the Chelsea ace to return back to the national
team set up.
Moses announced his retirement from international football with
Nigeria at the age of 27 after appearing at two World Cups and also
lifting the 2013 African Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
He confirmed he has informed Rohr and the Nigerian Football Federation
about his decision to quit playing for the Super Eagles as he want to
focus on his family and also cement his spot at Chelsea under new
coach Maurizo Sarri.
However Rohr while speaking on a French radio programme confirmed he
will have talks with Moses about the decision.
“We have to respect his decision but I will meet with him to discuss
it. He is one of the leaders we have in the team and we will like him
to be with us. I believe he will give it a second thought,” Rohr said.
