Uzoho Joins Spanish Segunda B Side Elche On One-Season Loan From Deportivo

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho , has linked up with Spanish Segunda division club, Elche FC on a season long loan deal from Deportivo La Coruna, Completesportsnigeria. com reports.
Uzoho who was Nigeria’s first choice at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia was looking to move to a club where he will play regular football after his sudden rise to international stardom and should have his wish granted at the modest side.
“The club and the R.C. Deportivo de la Coruña have agreed the transfer of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho on a one-year loan deal which comes after he played for Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia,” reads a statement on Elche’s official website on Friday.
The 19-year-old will have his medical at the club on Monday and will resume training with his teammates afterwards.
Uzoho made two appearances for Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga Santander last season.
He however played 28 games with the club’s B side,Deportivo La Coruna Fabril in the Segunda B.
