Ogu Confident Eagles Will Beat Seychelles In Victoria
Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ogu is optimistic that the Super Eagles will bounce back from their opening day loss to South Africa in the qualifiers for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to finally earn a spot for the final tournament in Cameroon next year,
“We had the game under control, and we stayed true to our principles, but unfortunately, we lost. Our opponents were strong, especially on the counter but we will get it right in Victoria,”Ogu said of the defeat in Uyo in a chat with CSN.
“I think we have the quality to get a win from the game in Victoria. We were just unlucky in the first game against South Africa because we had some more favourable chances to score.”
The Super Eagles are currently third in their group after matchday-one with no points behind Libya and South Africa who have three points apiece.
