FATHER SELLS SON FOR #180,000
A father Daniel Bassey, has been apprehended by the police in Cross River State for selling his two year old son for N180,000.
The State’s commissioner of police who paraded Bassey in Calabar on Monday said, the suspect was arrested on July 23 in Calabar following a report by his wife, Magdalene Bassey, that he gave the two-year-old to a trafficking agent.
The Commissioner said, “The police immediately swung into action and arrested the suspect. During interrogation, the suspect revealed that his wife was a party to the transaction.
“The duo is now in police custody to unravel the cause of this inhuman action and possible prosecution.”
