ARMED HOODLUMS OVERRUN POLLING UNIT IN OROLU LGA AT THE OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION
Some suspected armed brutes on Saturday attacked a polling unit in Orolu Local Government Area during the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.
It was reported that the thugs shot arbitrarily while people escaped in different directions.
It could not be determined whether anyone was killed or injured for the duration of the shooting and the subsequent mayhem.
The Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr, Olusegun Agbaje confirmed the attack. He said that the Divisional Police Officer in the area was hurriedly communicated to return status quo.
Agbaje said, “The report has been very peaceful. It was only at Orolu LGA where you have some issues. Armed thugs invaded the place but the DPO has been alerted and he is on his way to the place. It is a particular unit but I have not gotten to the place. But generally, it has been very okay.
