APC LAGOS PRIMARY: NWC BOWS TO PRESSURE, ADMITS ELECTION RESULT IS FREE AND FAIR

Events in Lagos has taken a dramatic turn as the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Working Committee has announced its acceptance of the primary election for the governorship candidate held yesterday.
Speaking while addressing a press conference on Wednessday, Chairman of the committee, Clement Ebri, said after, due consultations and consideration, the committee has found the election to be free and fair and is in line with the partyās constitution.
The former Akwa-Ibom State governor also declared Tinubu most preferred candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the exercise.
According to him Sanwo-olu polled a total number of 970,851 votes, while the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, got 72, 901 votes.
You will recall that, the NWC had earlier nullified the results of the election that held across the state, stating that it was against the partyās agreement.
