UZOHO SHOULD NOT BE EAGLES NO 1 – PETER RUFAI
Joseph Omoniyi
Ex-Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper, Peter Rufai hit on current no 1 goalkeeper of the team Francis Uzoho, saying the Elche man does not have the qualities to be the Super Eagles’ first choice.
The Legend who was speaking on Brila FM after the Super Eagles 3-2 massive win over Libya in Sfax on Tuesday night, said, Uzoho is a young man that needs nurturing into the future.
“Uzoho is not good enough to be Number one, he should be understudying ahead of the years ahead of him in the National team, Said Dodo MAYANA.
Rufai who is widely regarded as Nigeria’s finest Goalkeeper of all time also called on the Gernot Rohr led coaching crew to carefully re-assess the goalkeeping department of the Eagles noting that there are a lot of talented goalkeepers in Nigeria who can make the goalkeeping department more competitive than it is at the moment.
Following the win over Libya, the Eagles have now gone on a 3-match winning streak and presently top the group with 9 points.
