Success Nominated For Watford October Goal Of The Month Award
Nigeria forward, Isaac Success, has been nominated for Watford’s Goal of the Month award for October.
Success scored Watford’s third goal 10 minutes from time in the 3-0 win against Huddersfield Town in their English Premier League clash last Saturday at the Vicarage Road Stadium.
Roberto Pereyra played a central free-kick to Etienne Capoue. The The Frenchman dinked a pass with his left foot to the overlapping Kiko Femenía who met the ball on the full, side-footing it perfectly across the face of goal for Success to tap in.
The goal was his second ever goal for the Hornets in what was his 29th appearance for the club and second starts of the campaign.
Success’ only Premier League goal before the strike against Huddersfield was scored over two years ago in the 2-2 draw with visiting Bournemouth.
Success was also nominated for the Watford’s Goal of the Month award for September for his fine strike in the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur but came second behind Andre Gray.
He will battle it out with the quartet of Capoue, Roberto and Gerard Deulofeu for the individual honour.
The winner will announced on the club website and social media platforms on Friday.
The talented forward has been named in Nigeria’s squad for this month’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against South Africa and friendly encounter against the Cranes of Uganda.
