Iwobi Hails Emery For Arsenal’s Impressive Form
Nigeria winger, Alex Iwobi, has heaped plaudits on Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, for the Gunners’+ impressive form this season.
Emery’s men started the season in shambolic form losing their opening two games against champions Manchester City and Chelsea.
But the Gunners have witnessed a change in fortunes following the defeat to London rivals, Chelsea, recording 11 straight wins in all competitions before dropping points in the 2-2 away draw against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park on October 28 and a 2-2 home draw with Liverpool in their last Premier League clash last Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
Iwobi also believes that the team is one big family under the Spaniard and the players have enjoyed fighting for each other, as well as for the fans.
”It’s basically a family and we’re all fighting for each other, not just for the manager and the players, but also for the fans,” Iwobi told Arsenal. com
”It’s one big family and we’re always going to fight for each other. We’re putting in an extra shift, not just in matches, but in training as well.
”Unai’s very intense in training and he’s demanding because he knows how good we are. He always wants us to be at 100 per cent, giving our best.
”It’s not just him, though. We know what we expect from each other, so we’re also trying to get the best out of each other in training.”
