TWO IKORODU CULT MEMBERS ARRAIGNED ON FIVE COUNT CHARGE

Two suspected cult members, Tochukwu Udoye and John Paul who had been terrorising residents in the Odoguyan area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, have been arraigned for allegedly terrorising.
According to reports, the men, who allegedly belonged to the Aye Confraternity, attempted to kill one Ridwan Kosamotu.
Kosamu reportedly raised the alarm and the suspects were caught.
They were arraigned before the Candide Johnson Magistrates’ Courthouse on five counts.
The charges read in part, “That you, Tochukwu Udoye, John Paul, and others still at large, members of the Aye Confraternity on October 15, 2018 around 8.30pm at the back of Sheriff Hotel, Odogunyan, Ikorodu, in the Ikorodu Magisterial District, did unlawfully assemble and conduct yourselves in a manner to cause the breach of the peace by using a locally-made pistol, and an axe to terrorise members of the public, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 44 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The magistrate, Mr W. B. Balogun, granted them bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties each in like sum.
The case was adjourned till December 20, 2018.
