JAMAL KHASHOGGI KILLING: TRUMP SANCTIONS 17 SAUDIS
United State President, Donald Trump has sanctioned 17 Saudis known to be allegedly involved in the murder of late Jamal Khashoggi.
Trump who made this known in a statement released on Tuesday, said the decision was reached after an independent investigation which revealed details about the circumstances surrounding the murder of the Saudi Arabia Journalist.
The statement reported that King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman strongly deny any knowledge of the planning or execution of the murder even though American Intelligence Agencies are yet to ascertain if the Crown Prince had knowledge of the tragic event.
President Trump acknowledged that all the fact behind the murder of Mr Khashoggi may not be known, but the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been a great ally in Americans fight against Iran. Hence, Americans intention to remain a steadfast partner of Saudi Arabia in other to ensure the interest of the country, Israel and all other partners in the region to fully eliminate the threat of terrorism throughout the world.
