MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH BY HANGING FOR MURDERING HIS CLOSE FRIEND

Abdullahi Ibrahim, a former security personnel with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has been sentenced to death by hanging at the Kaduna State High Court in Zaria.
Justice Kabiru Dabo while delivering judgment said the offence committed by Abdullahi Ibrahim against late Kabiru Suleiman was Culpable Homicide that is punishable under section 221 of Penal Code.
Late Kabiru Suleiman, went to his close friend Abdullahi to collect the sum of N270,000.00, his father’s entitlement which he ordered to be deposited in Abdullahi’s account. On getting to his friend’s house on December 5th, 2011 Abdullahi used an axe to stab him to death.
Abdullahi took to his heels and was arrested and charged to court on March 5th 2014.
