JACKIE CHAN’S DAUGHTER TIES THE KNOT WITH GIRLFRIEND
JACKIE Chan’s estranged daughter has married her girlfriend after claiming they had been left homeless “due to homophobic parents”.
Etta Ng Chok Lam tied the knot with Canadian Andi Autumn in a ceremony in Toronto earlier this month before jetting to Hong Kong.
The 19-year-old was the result of an affair between Jackie Chan and the actress and winner of Miss Asia 1990 Elaine Ng Yi Lei.
She and her 31-year-old wife claimed earlier this year that they had been left homeless “due to homophobic parents”.
She posted a photo on her Instagram account on Monday showing the happy couple wearing white wedding dresses and holding their marriage certificate.
Etta wrote: “United by love and law on our wedding day. We have all been hurt, but if you can dream of love you will find it.
“We have been pursuing happiness since the day we were born. Abused as children who never felt love, we have so much to give.
“We have conquered our fears, accepted our faults, and now we understand that the people who hurt us are continuing to do so.
“With love we’ve returned. My home is Hong Kong, a beautiful city full of life and passion.”
Same-sex marriages are not recognised as legal unions in Hong Kong but the government has agreed to recognise gay weddings carried out overseas when granting dependant visas.
Etta and Andi started dating last year and they moved to Canada in October 2017.
She is understood to consider her world famous father a stranger and “not her real dad” following his brief fling with her beauty queen mother in the late 1990s.
Etta has also had a fractious relationship with her mum who at the time of her daughter’s homelessness claims issued a statement saying: “If they have no money, they should go and find work.
“They should not release a video telling everyone that they have no money and who her father is.
