MR TOURISM NIGERIA 2018: SEASON 8 #NDIIKOM, A DISPLAY OF THE EASTERN CULTURE OF NIGERIA

The journey of this year Mr Tourism Nigeria 2018; season 8 #NDIIKOM started on August 25, 2018 in Lekki Lagos, when interested contestants within the age of 17 – 30 were requested to fill a form at no cost. Over 300 contestants registered and 50 smart, intelligent and good looking men were shortlisted after audition.
During the semifinals the 50 men were reduced to 26 young men who proceeded for a week training which comprises of various camp activities that gave the contestants the opportunity to discover their talent, become a role model and a change ambassador.
At the end of the training, the grand finalist were made to participate in a pageantry night were Mr. Tourism Nigeria 2018, Season 8 #NDIIKOM will emerge.
The pageantry scheduled for December 9, 2018 at the Red Carpet Hall, Victoria Island Lagos, commenced with the green carpet around 6pm and the event started about 9pm with the presence of Denrele Edun who added more glamour to the event and MC Galaxy that sincerely brought life to the occasion when called to receive an award as an ambassador.
An interview granted to Hotjist.com by the organizer of Mr Tourism Nigeria who also doubles as the CEO of Zanzy Entertainment, Chuks Anusionwu said that this year’s edition of Mr. Tourism Nigeria showcased men from Eastern Nigeria and exposed the rich cultural values of Igbo to the world.
Chuks added that next year Mr. Tourism Nigeria will be focus on another tribe in Nigeria as the pageant is meant to bring to light all the cultural heritage of the people residing in this country in other to promote peace and unity.
He said this year theme of Mr Tourism Nigeria 2018, Season 8 NDIIKOM is meant to take a deep dig into the cultural roots of the Igbos, that’s the reason the contestants were picked from all tribes in the country.
Amidst the 26 contestants judged by the past Mr. Tourism Nigeria, MR ORLU emerged as Mr Tourism Nigeria 2018, while other winners are; Mr OWERRI WEST as Mr Tourism Nigeria Universe 2018, Mr. OHAOZARA as Mr Tourism Nigeria Planet 2018, Mr. AGUATA as Mr. Tourism Nigeria Culture 2018, Mr. ABA SOUTH as Mr Tourism Nigeria North 2018, MR NKANU WEST as Mr Tourism Nigeria East 2018, MR OJI RIVER as Mr Tourism Nigeria West 2018, MR ANAOCHA as Mr Tourism Nigeria South 2018, MR OHAFIA as Mr Tourism Nigeria Best Body 2018, MR IKEDURU as Mr Tourism Nigeria Popularity 2018, MR ENUGU NORTH as Mr Tourism Nigeria Top Model 2018, MR ORUMBA SOUTH as Mr Tourism Nigeria Amity 2018.
The top 3 winners, MR ORLU, Mr OWERRI WEST, Mr. OHAOZARA were given a plot of land each in Ibeju Lekki Lagos State, by one of the sponsors of the pageant, Memo Homes Ltd. one of Nigerians leading real estate company.
