3 – 2: MFM OVERTURN A-TWO GOAL DEFICIT
Joseph Omoniyi
MFM FC came back from 2 goals down to beat visiting Niger Tornadoes 3-2 on Sunday, at the Agege Township Stadium.
The home team conceded two early goals and looked disoriented in the early minutes of the game, even after they pulled one back just before the halftime.

The Olukoya Boys however took control of the game after they drew level in the the first 15 minutes of the second stanza of the game.

As the match was about winding down, just before the final blast of the whistle, MFM scored a late winner that gave the Ilechukwu sides back-to-back win in the Nigerian Professional League, NPFL.

Although the away team protested the last goal by MFM, calling for an offside decision, the referee ruled in the goal after several minutes of consulting with the line man.
The win sealed MFM’s first position on top of the NPFL group A.
