UCL: JOSEPH YOBO REVEALS TWO PLAYERS THAT DESTROYED UNITED
Speaking as an analyst on SuperSport, former Nigeria international and ex-Everton defender Joseph Yobo believes United were taken apart by the French champions because their star player Paul Pogba was dominated in midfield by Marquinhos and Marco Verratti.
”Marquinhos and Verratti today, they controlled the midfield, they put Pogba in the position where they want him to be,” said Yobo.
”Like we said, Pogba is a pivotal player for Manchester United.
If you let him control the game, he can cause you a lot of trouble.
”Credit to Marquinhos and Verratti, they did a brilliant job.
”I think the game was mostly won in the middle and that’s what gave PSG the opportunity to be able to go on the counter-attack and put those passes together.
” Paul Pogba will miss the second leg clash at the Parc des Princes (Paris) on March 6; he was shown a red card in the 89th minute after a reckless challenge on Dani Alves.
