BORN TODAY: SUPER FALCONS CAPTAIN, CHIKWELU AT 31, SETS A BIGGER CHALLENGE

The Nigeria’s Super Falcons skipper, Rita Chikwelu turns 31 years old today and she is far from slowing down, as she eyes the Allsvenskan League with her Swedish top-flight side, Kristianstads DFF, a feat they are yet to attain in their history.
According to her, her dreams is to help the club challenge for a silverware this season. In 2018, she scored 5 goals from 22 appearances in the league.
Rita Chikwelu made her senior national team debut in 2007 at the FIFA women’s World Cup. She was a member of the Nigerian Olympic team which participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in China and a member of the Nigerian squad in the 2011 FIFA women’s World Cup. Rita Chikwelu is currently with Swedish Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF.
