EXCLUSIVE: DRAMA AS CAPTURED BOKO HARAM KINGPIN TRIES TO ESCAPE DURING TREATMENT
Joseph Omoniyi
There was a ‘chaotic drama’ yesterday at a government hospital in Gombe State where a suspected chieftain of the Boko Haram insurgents was receiving treatment.
Many workers at the hospital were scared to the bones as they witnessed what they only used to see in Hollywood movies.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with hotjist.com under anonymity, the suspect had been brought to the ward with arrow wounds and handcuffed to the bed. It is believed that some of the insurgents are soaked in charms and cannot be killed by bullets until the charms have been neutralised.
He managed to remove his handcuffs and attempted to escape.
However, men of the Nigerian Army recaptured him after he was shot three times, to prevent him from escaping.
The government hospital operated on him to remove the bullets before transferring him to the military hospital
Hotjist also gathered that the suspect has some classified information which may further help the Nigerian Army in their fight against insurgency.
