NPFL: CHIJIOKE’S EARLY GOAL GIVES HOST MFM A WIN AGAINST RIVERS UNITED
Joseph Omoniyi
Akuneto Chijioke’s penalty goal was enough to seal a narrow win for MFM FC against Rivers United in the NPFL match day 17.
Chijioke who was brought down in the box scored from the spot to put the host ahead at the Agege stadium on Sunday.
The two sides however struggled throughout the rest of the game to find even a shot on target in a game that proved less entertaining in front of the home fans.
The win means the Olukoyaboys now have 27 points, but still trail Rangers and Enyimba in Group A.
