Ashley Massaro, ex-WWE star and Playboy model, has passed away at 39.
Massaro won a one-year WWE contract worth $250,000 after winning the 2005 Raw Diva Search, and teamed with Trish Stratus during her career’s early stages.
Massaro retired from professional wrestling in 2008.
WWE broke this tragic story last night. Medics had rushed to her to Suffolk County, New York after receiving a call reporting an unconscious female and Ashley was given CPR on their way back to the hospital but she didn’t make it.
The cause of death is currently unknown, but Suffolk County Police have classified Massaro’s death as “non-criminal.”
