VALVERDE’S EXIT TAKES A TWIST
The future of Ernesto Valverde has taken another twist with multiple reports claiming the 55-year-old will not be sacked as Barcelona boss and will stay on at the Camp Nou.
Tuesday saw RAC1 report that Valverde was set to lose his job in the wake of Saturday’s Copa del Rey defeat to Valencia, but Wednesday sees reports that state the contrary.
Indeed Gerard Romero was one of the first to backtrack, apologising for his earlier information and reporting that president Josep Maria Bartomeu will not be doing any firing.
According to ESPN FC, Bartomeu has said that Valverde will be the Barcelona boss next season despite all the speculation.
