BREAKING: NAIRA MARLEY REGAINS FREEDOM HOURS AFTER HIS NEW SINGLE, “WHY” WAS RELEASED

Nigeria’s controversial singer, Afeez fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley has been granted bail by the Federal High Court, Ikoyi. This is coming after his new single, titled, “Why” was released on the internet.
The singer who was arrested and charged by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC for alleged internet fraud charges, was granted bail on the conditions of; a Two Million Naira (2,000,000) bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level officer.
Naira Marley who had been creating social dramas with his open support for internet crimes, popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo”, was arrested on the 10th of May, 2019 alongside fellow singer, Zlatan Ibile who was later released on the same day.
Recall that the artiste also went into social fights with the likes of Ruggedman, Simi and Tunde Ednut who critised his brazen support for internet fraud.
The rapper faces 11 count charge and if found guilty, may be sentenced to 7 years impronsonment or asked to pay N5, 000, 000 fine.
The charges read:
“That you, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and Raze (still at large), on or about the 11th day of December 2018, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, conspired amongst yourselves to use Access card 42658840359191132 issued to persons other than you in a bid to obtain gain and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 27(1)(b) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015 and punishable under Section 33(2) of the Same Act.
“That you, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and Raze (still at large), on or about the 10th day of May 2019, within the jurisdiction of this honorable court, with intent to defraud possessed, counterfeit card 4921819410257431 issued to Timea Fedorne Tatar and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 33(9) of Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Act 2015.”
