BREAKING: AHMED LAWAN EMERGES AS SENATE PRESIDENT OF THE 9TH ASSEMBLY
Following the ongoing inauguration of Nigeria’s 9th National Assembly and election of the 14th senate president of the Senate House, APC’s Ahmed Lawan has emerged as the winner.
Lawan who was declared winner by the NASS clerk, after scoring 79 out of the 107 votes cast by the senators-elect as against his only opposition, Ali Ndume’s 28 votes, immediately took the oath of allegiance as a senator-elect and then as the 14th president of the Senate.
