Yesterday, in a bid to further commemmorate, the late MKO Abiola and the events of June 12, President Muhammadu Buhari renamed the Abuja National Stadium after the late hero.
Many, especially sports journalists have questioned this move by Mr President, saying sports facilities should not be named after politicians bit sports heroes.
However, the present condition of the said stadium has left more questions unanswered why such deteriorating facility which has become an international shame would be renamed after an important heroe of democracy in Nigeria.
