AFCON19: MALI WITH AN EMPHATIC WIN AGAINST MAURITANIA; TUNISIA/ANGOLA SETTLE FOR A DRAW

The eagles of Mali cruised to a comfortable 4-1 win against competition debutants, Mauritania as they began their AFCON 2019 campaign in Group E.
Abdoulay Diaby opened the scoring with a brilliant outside the box goal in the 38th minute of the first stanza of the game. Porto striker, Marega doubled the lead from spot on the 45 minute mark. Adama Noss made it 3-nil in the second half.
When Mauritania began a dream of fighting back into the game with a penalty goal, Adama Traore powered in a fantastic shot to seal the win for Mali and send them to the top of Group E.
Earlier, Tunisia and the Panacas Negras of Angola settled for a 1-1 draw in the other encounter of the group.
