AFCON2019: WE WILL BEAT SENEGAL – UGANDA’S COACH EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE
Joseph Omoniyi
The Uganda National team coach, Sebastien Desabre has expressed a high level of confidence in his team to beat the Terranga lions of Senegal in their second-round clash later this evening.
The Cranes head coach believes his sides will cause an upset against almighty Senegal led by Liverpool star man, Sadio Mane if they can just find the back of the net.
“To beat Senegal we have to score and stay focused. We need to forget the group games; this is a new challenge,” Desabre told the media.
“Senegal is a strong team over the past year they have played in the World Cup (Russia) and have a good coach but once we enter the pitch, we shall be equal.
“We played DR Congo and Egypt, which were equally strong and good teams. We managed to hold our own. It’s not good to talk about other teams but we know how we are going to approach the match.”
Captain Denis Onyango, who was forced out of the team’s final game against Egypt, is fit to face the Lions of Teranga.
