BREAKING: COURT GRANTS SENATOR ELISHA ABBO N5 MILLION BAIL AFTER PLEADING NOT GUILTY DESPITE VIDEO EVIDENCE

Senator Elisha Abo has surprisingly pleaded not guilty to the two counts of criminal use of force and criminal assault against him in court today.
Abbo was arraigned on Monday by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police at Zuba Magistrate Court, Abuja
The Chief Magistrate’s Court granted him bail of N5 million with two competent sureties to the court to secure his appearance in subsequent hearings on the criminal charges.
The PDP Senator, representing Adama North Senatorial District, who was captured by security camera in an Abuja adult shop beating a nursing mother who pleaded with him not to assault the shop owner.
Abbo had accused the shop owner of calling him a drunk
Although, the disgraceful incident happened in May, but the CCTV footage went viral last Tuesday and has since generated unprecedentedly public outrage with many calling for his prosecution.
In the midst of the outrage that followed the video footage, the Senator has been requested to publicly apologise to his victim, the Nigerian and the PDP.
He maintained that he had learnt his lesson and promised to always be of good conduct afterward.
He had said “I personally apologise to Bibra and her family for my action towards her, which has brought immense discomfort in our body polity”
