JUST IN: STANDSTILL ON ABUJA-KADUNA HIGHWAY AS POLICE OFFICER KILLS TRUCK DRIVER
A report says there’s currently a traffic deadlock on the Abuja-Kaduna highway after a yet to be identified police officer allegedly shot dead a truck driver at Olam area.
According to a twitter user who shared the story, calling the attention of the Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, several drivers are protesting the action of the security operative and are demanding the presence of the governor, thereby causing a heavy standstill on the famous road.
@collabo21 wrote;
‘Sir @elrufai this is the famous Abuja-Kaduna Highway, very close to Olam. A total standstill hold-up. It is allegedly sed a police officer has shot dead a tanker driver which leads to dix traumatic situation. The drivers insisted on ur presence. Plz com to our rescue sir.’
The governor has however responded to the outcry and tweeted he is already on his way to the scene of the incident.
