NINALOWO ARRESTED BY FBI OVER $1.5M MONEY-LAUNDERING
A 40-year-old Kenneth Ganiu Ninalowo who is believed to be a sibling to popular Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo has been arrested by the Federal Bureau of investigation, FBI in Chicago for fraud-related offenses.
According to FBI Ninalowo and his ‘partner in crime’, 27-year-old Brittney Stokes scammed a Chicago-area community and an energy company who sent approximately $5 million into their fraudulent bank accounts.
The two were charged as part of a larger investigation, which included the arrests of over 280 individuals, including 167 in Nigeria, 18 in Turkey and 15 in Ghana. The Department of Justice says arrests were also made in France, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom.
It must however be said that it has not yet been categorically confirmed if the suspect is a blood brother of the Nollywood actor.
