Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, paid a visit to Owo town in Ondo State on Monday, after terrorists assaulted a Catholic church on Sunday.

He condemned the attack and asked the state’s security authorities to apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous crime, which took place at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

The presidential aspirant on the APC platform, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, spoke at the palace of the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, and expressed his condolences to the monarch and the people of the town.

Tinubu was accompanied by the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu; Mr Yakubu Dogara, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives; and other party leaders.

“I want to urge on the security agencies to find the perpetrators of the crime,” Tinubu stated.

Tinubu further expressed his hope that such a heinous crime will never happen again in the state.

Governor Akeredolu had previously expressed thanks for Tinubu’s visit, noting that he (Tinubu) had demonstrated that “he is a worthy leader by abandoning his political campaign to visit Owo.”
