GOV. FINTIRI REPLACES DEPUTY, PICKS KALATEPWA FARAUTA
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has replaced Crowther Seth, his deputy, with Professor Kalatepwa Farauta, who is currently the vice chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi.
Crowther Seth, the current deputy of Adamawa State, has had a turbulent reign due to questions of allegiance to the governor as well as a lack of support in his own Numan federation.
The deputy governor experienced his initiation during the council by-election of his ward, Lamurde, where the incumbent PDP candidate was soundly trounced.
The deputy governor was also in the news for allegedly being biased during the violent interethnic conflicts between the Lunguda and Waja ethnic groups in Guyuk local government.
The development was confirmed to her reporter by the director general of media and communications for Governor Fintiri, Mr. Solomon stated.
It’s accurate to say that my principal chose Professor Kelatapwa Farauta to be his running mate in the 2023 governor’s race.
Before being named vice chancellor of Adamawa State University, Professor Kelatapwa Farauta served as commissioner of education under Acting Governor Ahamdu Fintiri.
Prior to being appointed commissioner of education, she previously served as executive chairman of Adamawa’s Universal Basic Education.
Professor Kelatapwa Farauta is a native of the same local government region in Numan as the current deputy governor.
In a similar vein, Hon. Titsi Ganama has been chosen as Aishatu Ahmed (Binani), the All Progressive Congress’ (APC) candidate for governor of Adamawa in 2023, running partner.
Former House of Representatives member Titsi Ganama comes from the same Northern senatorial zone as Governor Fintiri.
