UPDATE: GUNMEN ABDUCT NAVAL OFFICER IN KOGI

An officer with the Naval Headquarters, Abuja, Musa Lawal, with enlistment no. X12775 ABRP3 has been kidnapped by gunmen.
He was taken hostage on Monday at around 8:00 p.m. in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi state, at his home, which was located behind Post Flood Housing Estate.
The Naval officer was scheduled to depart for his station this morning before the unfortunate incident happened.
The kidnappers called his wife an hour after the kidnapping and demanded three million naira.
One of the hands belonging to the kidnapped naval staff member’s wife, Juliana Ida Musa, who described her experience, stated it was bleeding while he was being dragged away.Contacted,
Contacted, the state police public relations officer, SP Williams Ayah, stated that the command had not yet been told but he would inquire with the appropriate DPOs.
However, as of the time this story was filed, he had not yet done so.
