JUST IN: COURT ORDERS MULTICHOICE TO SUB-LICENSE CHANNELS TO METRO DIGITAL
According to the rules set by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, the Appeal Court in Port Harcourt has ordered the nation’s top entertainment firm, MultiChoice, to sublicense some channels to Metro-digital.
In his decision on Wednesday, Justice Olabode Adegbehingbe determined that the lower court erred in dismissing the appellant’s (Metro-digital) lawsuit after the appellant established the existence of the dispute between itself and the first respondent (MultiChoice).
NBC, the second respondent, was likewise urged by Justice Adegbehingbe to compel Multi-Choice to comply with the court order within 21 days.
