President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, his administration said, adding that the 79-year-old leader was having “moderate symptoms” but would continue to carry out his full responsibilities while being isolated at the White House.
“He has been completely vaccinated and twice boosted and is having very moderate symptoms,” the White House said in a statement, adding that Biden had started using Pfizer’s anti-Covid medication Paxlovid.
“He will isolate in the White House in accordance with CDC rules and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time.”
