CBT HAS ENHANCED PUPILS’ ADMISSION INTO MODEL COLLEGES -LAGOS STATE COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION
The Lagos State Model Colleges now screen students using a computerized method, which has improved the admissions process.
The state government has advised parents of students applying for admission to upgraded junior secondary schools and state model colleges for the academic year 2022–2023 not to assuage any admissions-related fears.
On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the WAEC International Office in Agidingbi, Ikeja, at the flag-off of the computer-based test examination for admission into model colleges and upgraded schools in Lagos State, the commissioner for education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, made the statement.
She claimed that they were pretty composed, sharper, cleverer, and smarter, she claimed, adding that they grasped the system and the questions. “These students are millennium students, students of the 21st century. They know what to do,” she said.
The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the way the tests were conducted, saying she was glad to see the kids taking CBT exams.
She continued by saying that it demonstrates the government’s dedication to investing in ICT and that her efforts had not been in vain.
Mrs. Adefisayo came to the conclusion that all applicants who met the cut-off point would be admitted to any model college of their choice.
