EDUCATION: LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES TRANSFER PROCESS FOR YEAR 2022/2023 TO JSS2 AND SSS1

The Lagos State Ministry of Education has commenced transfer exercise into Junior Secondary School II (JSII) and Senior Secondary School (SSI) in Lagos State public secondary schools for Y2022/2023 Academic Session.
In a Statement signed by Ganiyu Lawal Assistant Director of Public Affairs Unit, It stated that all Interested applicants are to submit their application which must include their Parents/Guardians Phone Number and other relevant contact details to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education with all necessary documents.
The Statement reads in part, “ Applicants into JS.II are expected to attach their 2nd & 3rd Term results of J.S1 while SS.1 applicants are to attach 1st & 2nd Term Results of J.S 3 with BECE registration no or result. Also each applicant must present Tax Clearance Certificate.
Applicants for Intra and Inter-District transfer as well as those intending to transfer from private schools are to pay transfer fee of N5,000 at any branch of Polaris or GT Bank with the under listed details.

Please note that the transfer exercise into public secondary schools is done annually for students seeking transfer from one school to the other for various reasons. However, there is no transfer into Model Colleges/Upgraded Secondary Schools and all request for transfer is based on vacancies.
It is important to stress that provision of false information and/or attachment of falsified document(s) will lead to automatic disqualification. Submission of Application closes on Monday, 22nd August, 2022 and there will be no extension of date for the exercise.”
