JAY-Z AND BEYONCÉ DAUGHTER BLUE IVY RECEIVES HER FIRST GOLD-CERTIFIED SINGLES

Blue Ivy continues in her parents’ legacy.
The previous several weeks have seen all eyes on Beyoncé as she launched her house-inspired album Renaissance. The album has achieved great success, breaking sales records in 2022. Another Carter family member is also having some luck this week, albeit not as much.
The Recording Industry Association of America has awarded Blue Ivy, the couple’s daughter, her first two Gold Awards. Ivy had a part in the song “Blue” from her mother’s self-titled album from back in 2013.
Even though the ten-year-old was only a baby at the time, she did a decent enough job on the track to move 500,000 units, which was necessary to earn Gold certification.
Blue Ivy made another appearance on her mother’s project, The Lion King: The Gift, six years later. SAINt JHN and Wizkid also made appearances on “Brown Skin Girl,” which also featured her.
This song has now successfully sold 500,000 units as well. For the song, which took home Best Music Video at the awards show the previous year, Blue Ivy has already received a Grammy.
When she was less than two days old, the eldest child of Beyoncé and Jay-Z made her musical debut. On “Glory,” a song from the DJ Hood-hosted Show You How To Do This Pt. 1 album, released in 2012, Jay-Z gave Ivy credit. Blue Ivy became the youngest person to ever chart on Billboard thanks to the song.
Also busy are Blue Ivy’s parents. Beyoncé just posted a sweet snapshot of Jay-Z on her Instagram, and this past weekend, the pair was serenaded in Brooklyn by none other than Kendrick Lamar. It’s safe to say that Blue Ivy, if she so chooses, has a future in the music business.
