In connection with a shooting in 2021, the American rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged with assault and firearm possession.
The musician was accused of physically using a firearm and was charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon, according to PageSix.
Los Angeles District Attorney George GascĆ³n said, “Discharging a pistol in a public location is a severe offense that could have ended with disastrous results not only for the individual targeted but also for innocent onlookers visiting Hollywood.”
Rocky was detained in April and accused of assault with a dangerous object.
The rapper is being looked into by the LAPD for allegedly taking part in a gunshot on November 6.
Police claimed that after a dispute between “two acquaintances,” the defendant shot the victim with a revolver. The suspect and two other men fled the scene on foot after the shooting.
The rapper was later named as the suspect by authorities.
The rapper was first in legal difficulties in 2019 after being detained in Sweden.
He was detained because of his participation in a brawl with some alleged drug users in public.
He described his time in prison as “a really painful and humiliating experience” in an interview.
He spent one month in jail.
