JUST IN: COURT REJECTS FG’S REQUEST FOR ABBA KYARI’S EXTRADITION TO UNITED STATES AMID HUSHPUPPI TRIAL
On Monday, the Abuja Federal High Court rejected an application from the Federal Government to extradite suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari to the US for trial over his alleged association with infamous cyber fraudster Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, who delivered the judgement, noted that the extradition application FG filed through the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, was incompetent and unmerited.
