WORLD GIRL CHILD DAY: WE HAVE A DUTY TO PROTECT AND NURTURE OUR GIRLS – ADORABLE WOMEN
The general public was reminded by Adorable Women International of its “obligation to protect and nurture them in a very conducive environment where their voices are heard and their activities are visible.”
The non-governmental organisation, which seeks to improve society via a variety of activities, made this statement in honour of today, October 11, which is designated as “International Day of the Girl Child.”
“As the world we live in gets more technology-driveand competitive; it has become abundantly clear that the future will be far more challenging.
“That future will require both genders to be at their very best in terms of socio-economic and political contributions to the new world.
“We have a duty to safeguard our girls and nurture them in a very conducive environment where their voices are heard and their activities seen. That environment must provide equity in opportunities and a level-playing field.”
“For that tomorrow, we must work hard and smart today.”
