DOZI MMOBUOSI SUPER CUP: BEST PLAYER AND HIGHEST GOAL SCORER TO GET N1m EACH IN INAUGURAL EDITION
Organisers of the inaugural Dozy Mmobuosi-NPFL Super Cup invitational tournament have announced prizes for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Highest Goal Scorer.
Winners of the awards will pocket ā¦1m each at the end of the tournament which holds from December 1st to 4th at the Mobalaji Stadium Complex, Onikan, Lagos.
Enyimba International, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Bendel Insurance and Rangers International would be competing in the tournament with a ā¦100m prize money.
The Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation is using the tournament to showcase what it can bring to the table in contributing to the development of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
“For us, this is a test run, a kind of prelude to what we will be doing in the years ahead in partnership with the NPFL.
“We are aiming for the very best hence we have lined up juicy prizes for those who will excel and the ā¦1m prizes for the MVP and Highest Goal Scorer is to get the best out of the individual ability of the players”, Agbonwaneten remarked.
In a related development, two of the invited four teams have written to confirm their participation.
Chairman of Enyimba International, Felix Anyansi Agwu in his response to the invitation said “Enyimba is pleased to accept the invitation and will be showcasing our best players at the tournament “.
Charles Ihimekpen, Secretary of Bendel Insurance write to accept the invitation and expressed the club’s readiness to participate.
