FAKE NEWS: EFCC, BENUE POLICE REACT TO VIRAL VIDEO ON DAMAGED NAIRA NOTES

A video that has gone viral on social media claims Naira notes were hidden in multiple bags and were loaded for years. This happened on Tuesday 11th of December 2022.
It was said that the damage Naira Notes were found inside a truck in a warehouse after several months.
According to the video, the money was discovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission around Wadata market.
However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC at the Makurdi office, and Benue State Police Command exposed the report of the trending Video on alleged discovery of old naira notes in the capital city.
An official of the anti-graft agency (name withheld), said the police got the information and deployed its men to the place only to discover that they were condemned notes from the Central Bank of Nigeria.
