The First Lady, who spoke at the event held at Lagos House in Marina, stated that the need to educate female stakeholders on issues pertaining to the 2023 general elections, particularly on the proper use of the Permanent Voters Card and the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS), made the panel necessary.
According to her, “BIVAS is a system that integrates the three-stage voting procedure, as described by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).”
āIt is an integrated device that is multifunctional in nature, which serves as Voter Enrolment Device (IVED) during voter registration, voter accreditation on Election Day and also functions as INEC Results Viewing Device (IReV Device) to be used for election results upload on Election Day.ā
