DIG JOHNSON KOKUMO, 13 OTHER SENIOR OFFICERS PULL-OUT OF SERVICE

The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday, hosted the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba at the Police college, Ikeja in a parade marking the pull-out of senior police officers.
The event which lasted for some hours, was held in honor of 14 retiring officers which included the Deputy Inspector General of Police Babatunde Kokumo, 11 AIGs and two Commissioners.
The ceremony which was attended by top officers of the force was witnessed by the IGP, Alkali Baba who was ably represented by DIG, Adeyinka Adeleke, IGP Musiliu Smith (retd), DIG Peter Ogunmowo (retd), among other dignatries.
Alkali Baba, in his speech lauded the retiring officers for their selfless service to the force and the Nation. He also implored them to continue to contribute to the security of the country even as they bow out of service.
However, Babatunde Johnson Kokumo, who doubles as Deputy Inspector-General of Police representing/supervising the Southwest zone and also in charge of Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (FCIID), while giving his speech expressed his gratitude to God for his life and that of the other officers retiring after 35-years of serving their fatherland.
Kokumo, who also stood as a representative of the retiring senior officers, urged those still in service to keep the flags flying and ensure to carry out their duties diligently.
Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the IGP, Usman Baba, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and PCC for the capacity to serve while promising that the retired officers will continue to support the growth of the commission.
