RAMADAN/EASTER: SORT MOVEMENT CALLS FOR LOVE, PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE AMONG NIGERIANS

The Senator Oluremi Tinubu movement, has called for love and a peaceful coexistence among Nigerians during the month of Ramadan and beyond.
Ghazali Abdul-Azeez, a representative of the group made the call on Sunday, during an Iftar prayer held on behalf of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his wife, for his victory in the past election and muslims in Lagos state.
While speaking to the press during an interview, Ghazali explained that the iftar day was organized to celebrate the muslims and also to break their fast together. He added that this will also, give them an opportunity to observe the iftar lectures while they pray for the All Progressive Congress Leader, Asiwaju Tinubu, to have a successful administration during his tenure.
“Ramadan is a month in which our Muslim brothers and sisters observe their fast for either 29 or 30 days. One of the Islamic scripture is that you are expected to feed those that observe their fast.
On our platform, we do this every day during Ramadan period and we always have a grand finale which is 10 days before the fasting ends. Today happens to be that day in 2023 to festive with our Muslim brothers and sisters to observe their iftar lectures and most importantly use the opportunity to pray for our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to have a successful administration in the next four years.” he said.
” Ramadan is a holy month in which Muslims are expected to spread love, show mercy to other people either muslims or not.
When asked about the lesson learnt in the marching coincidence of lent, easter and Ramadan been observed at the same period in recent times Ghazali said, “The basic lesson to be learnt in all of this is natural love. We are meant to be together because we are not divided.
“The truth is that no one would have for seen that we will have both Easter and Ramadan together but this is to let us know that God in his infinite mercy has created us to show love towards one another.
Meanwhile, the cleric, Alhaji Imam Bakara Abdullateef, the Imam of Ayakole Mosque, Lagos Island mentioned that the importance of iftar is that there is blessing in unity.
He urged everyone to be positive minded at all times while offering prayers for the president-elect, the Governor of Lagos state, citizens and the entire nation.
Imam encouraged that Nigerians should remain united and show love to one another as “God is one and we have to believe in the existence of only one God whether Christian or Muslim.” He added
