CHELSEA INVITE JULIAN NAGELSMANN FOR INTERVIEW IN LONDON
Chelsea have reportedly invited Julian Nagelsmann to ‘present his ideas’ to club chiefs this week as they step up their search for a new permanent manager.
German coach Nagelsmann was recently dismissed from his position as Bayern Munich head coach and swiftly replaced by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea reportedly summoned Julian Nagelsmann to ‘present his ideas’ to club executives this week, which apparently prompted the club to intensify its hunt for a new permanent manager.
Nagelsmann, a German coach, was recently fired as head coach of Bayern Munich, and Thomas Tuchel, a former Chelsea manager, took over immediately.
Several top clubs in Europe have taken note of his availability, including Chelsea who are looking for a new manager.
The Blues parted ways with Graham Potter at the beginning of the April and appointed club legend Frank Lampard as interim manager while they continue in their search for a long-term answer, they .
However, Boehly has clearly set the wheels in motion in regard to appointing a new head coach after he invited two managers to speak with club chiefs.
According to the German publication BILD, Nagelsmann has been invited to personally introduce himself and share his ideas with the Chelsea hierarchy.
The same opportunity was presented to former Spain and Barcelona manager Luis Enrique little over a week ago, and it’s been reported that he did well.
There were also rumours that the Blues were getting ready to reach a “imminent agreement” with the Spaniard, but they would first meet Nagelsmann.
Despite the German coach’s recent departure from Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern, there is optimism that he will be the appropriate person to guide the Blues to victory.
The same publication notes that with Christopher Vivell’s arrival in west London last year, Nagelsmann won’t be alone if he decides to relocate there.
