ABIKE DABIRI: EVACUATION OF NIGERIANS FROM SUDAN HAS RESUMED (VIDEO)
Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa has said buses conveying Nigerians from conflict-ridden Sudan have continued their journey after a stop.
Dabiri disclosed this on Thursday in reaction to a crisis that occurred whereby buses stopped en route to Nigeria due to logistical issues.
A video of a woman and others complaining that the buses stopped in the middle of the desert for five hours without dispersing one was posted on Twitter earlier today.
The Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was informed, according to the NiDCOM chief, who responded swiftly and confirmed the problem has been resolved.
