Head coach of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote, believes his side has what it takes to pick something positive from Saturday’s game against Nasarawa United in Jos.

The oracle, as the former Enyimba FC of Aba coach is fondly called, however, reckons that a level playing ground and luck are important factors that would help his team to come out of the Matchday 16 encounter unschathed.

“We will do our best to get the desired result against Nasarawa United come Saturday but we expect that referees of high caliber are giving the responsibility to handle this game.

“We pray we have a level playing ground and aside that, for luck to come our way”, stated the former Lobi Stars of Makurdi gaffer.

The Ibadan soccer lords who beat the Solid Miners 2-0 in the first round, courtesy of a first half brace by Samuel Ayanrinde, had a light workout at the New Jos Stadium on Friday, in readiness for the tie.

The Oluyole Warriors go into this match as the sixth placed team on the Group A log with 21 points from 15 matches, while Nasarawa United precariously sits on the ninth spot with just ten points from the same number of games.

This is Shooting Stars’ second visit to the New Jos Stadium this season, the first being the season’s opening fixture, where they were forced to a three all draw by the original landlords, Plateau United.
